Review: Thank Goodness You're Here! by Coal Supper
★★★★☆
Looks great, sounds great. Pretty solid hit ratio with the jokes. Some pretty clever incorporation of gameplay into the jokes; clever moments where a button press is a good punchline or a long direction-hold is good build-up. Was very mildly annoyed that I couldn't remap the controls (since it's a generally slow-paced stick+two buttons game, it would've been convenient to be able to control it one-handed), but after I gave up on trying it did not bother me. In some of the more open moments (generally, as you're finding your way around newer hub areas) some of the freedom afforded me ended up with me exploring a little too much or getting slightly lost or going down a dead end. And we all know that there is nothing less funny than being lost in a video game (not serious, but it's anti-humor). But also I am in my agency-disrespecting era so of course I would think this.
